Lord God, hear my prayer,
 
I ask, Lord, you temper this flesh,
That you so form this body of blood and bone,
This mind so full of breath,
I ask, Lord, you steel this flesh
So I might wield it as an extension of your will,
With grace and mercy and with love, my God,
I will be what you have made me
